Let me begin with introducing myself. I am a Sri Lankan living and working in Dublin, Ireland. An accountant by profession who never worked as a mainstream accountant a single day. At the moment I’m into Risk Management at a major US bank by the day and being a volunteer to shape Ireland’s youth with Foróige as well as helping professionals around the world via LinkedIn providing career advice by the night. Also doing my own creative writing project when I get a moment from all that.
I have moved to Ireland almost six years ago with one of the big 4 accounting firms where I worked ever since I left school until about a year ago. Although it was my dream since I was a kid to move to Ireland, when I landed in here in the bleak mid winter of 2014, I questioned my lifelong dream!!! Imagine, leaving behind my comfort zone where I grew up with my life with family and friends to a place where I knew literally nobody. For some reason, it inspired me to make the move until I landed here to feel the near zero temperature that penetrated to my soul (well the fabulous weather of my paradise Island I left behind was the last thing came to my mind by then). However, I vowed to myself and keep reminding myself I am here because I am a dreamer and I wouldn’t achieve any of my dreams unless I stick into my own decision of moving out of my comfort zone. Yet alone breaking the confidence that my parents have on me. They raised me to be adventurous and be uniquely different. So that’s what I become. When see the person who I am today, I can’t be happier!!!
I have always been passionate about sharing my thoughts with my fellow humans to inspire them to be their best and to live their lives to the fullest. When my good friend Esther mentioned she’s relaunching her Blog, I knew I had to grab the opportunity to share my thoughts to a wider group I probably have never been approached before. So here I am at your service!
What you are going to hear from me;
